Chris Thile Hartford Concert reviews
Classic!
From back in the David Lindley days, it was great to hear the peddle and lap steel that I have always associated with Chris Thile. Chris Thile did a great job drawing from all his material and mixing up his set list. Mostly it was great in this 1920's era venue, but the sound suffered in just a few spots. His voice was getting just a bit raspy toward the end of the show, but he finished pretty strong. Going in, my fear was that it would be heavily weighted toward the new release, but that was not the case at all. Chris himself mentioned how good it sounded from up on stage.
